Aditya Roy Kapur revealed how he initially wanted to become a cricketer. He mentioned that he worked as a video jockey even though he didn’t really like it.

Before Aditya Roy Kapur came to Bollywood, he was a popular video jockey. She made her Bollywood debut in 2009 when she starred in London Dreams. In a recent interview, the actor revealed how he didn’t want to enter films but wanted to become a cricketer.

Speaking to Kareena Kapoor on What Women Want, Aditya Roy Kapur revealed how he got into acting even though he didn’t want to. He mentioned how he started his career as a video jockey, although that didn’t really appeal to him. Kapur said, “I started out not wanting to get into any showbiz. I wanted to be a cricketer like half the country, but that didn’t work out very well. I just fell into acting. I was a video jockey (VJ) , although that didn’t appeal to me.”

Kapur mentioned that even though being a video jockey was not on the list, he continued doing it because it was a “fun job”. He talked about how he learned to act during this period. He also said that he did not want to go to auditions but that he left out of ‘guilt’. The actor continued: “Acting only happened because I was semi-famous. I used to get calls for auditions that I wouldn’t want to go to; some I would feel guilty about because I didn’t really grow up wanting to be an actor.”

The actor mentioned how he “fell in love” with acting only after his first film. She shared the screen with Ajay Devgn and Salman Khan in her debut film. After London Dreams, she starred in popular films like Action Replayy, Aashiqui 2, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, Okay Jaanu and Kalank to name a few. He was last seen in Gumraah. He was also seen in The Night Manager, which was recently nominated for an International Emmy. The actor has Rakt Brahmand and Metro…A Dino on hold.
