Second suspect arrested in DC armed robbery

WASHINGTON, DC — A summer robbery in Southeast Washington led to a second arrest as detectives arrested 20-year-old Reginald Porter on Oct. 31. Porter, a Southeast DC resident, is charged with armed robbery (handgun) for his alleged involvement in the June 28 incident on Bowen Road.

The robbery occurred around 7:05 p.m. when two suspects approached a pedestrian, demanded property and threatened the victim with a firearm. After confiscating the victim’s belongings, the suspects fled in a waiting car driven by other accomplices.

This recent arrest follows the arrest of a 19-year-old suspect from Northeast DC who was taken into custody on September 25th and also charged with armed robbery (handgun).

Investigators are continuing to work the case and are urging anyone with additional information to come forward. Tips can be submitted by calling (202) 727-9099 or texting 50411. A reward of up to $10,000 is being offered for information leading to new arrests or convictions in this case.
