Russia: Moscow denies Russia’s ‘baseless’ claim behind fake US election video

Moscow denies Russia's

MOSCOW: Moscow on Saturday denied he was behind the fake videos about US elections after US intelligence said Russia was behind one fake video showing a Haitian immigrant claiming to have voted multiple times.
Three USA intelligence agencies on Friday said in a joint statement that “Russian influencers” created the video as part of Moscow’s “broader effort to raise unfounded questions about the integrity of the US election.”
The statement also said Russian actors were behind another fake video.
“I have noted the statement from the US intelligence services accusing our country of releasing fabricated videos of election violations in the United States. We consider these accusations to be baseless.” the Russian embassy in the United States said in a statement to Telegram.
The 20-second clip features a man saying in a robotic delivery: “We’re from Haiti. We came to America six months ago and we already have our American citizenship, we vote. Kamala Harris.”
Secretary of State of Georgia Brad Raffenspergerthe swing state’s top election official, said Friday that the video was an example of “targeting misinformation“.
Raffensperger said the “obviously fake” video was likely a production of “Russian troll farms.”
The embassy said Russia had received “no evidence for these claims during its communications with US officials.”
“As President Vladimir Putin has repeatedly emphasized, we respect the will of the American people. All insinuations about ‘Russian machinations’ are malicious slander,” the embassy said in a statement also published by the Russian Foreign Ministry.
