Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade lineup includes Alison Brie, T-Pain and more

“Today” stars Savannah Guthrie, Hoda Kotb and Al Roker will host the festivities as usual.

Swallow, swallow.

Thanksgiving is right around the corner, which means so is the annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. to celebrate, NBC announced featured performers, star appearances and new floats viewers can expect to see during the 98th edition of the iconic tradition.

Additionally, the 2024 Macy’s Parade lineup will be the largest yet, with more than 5,000 volunteers, 17 featured character balloons, 22 floats, 15 heritage and novelty balloons, more than 700 clowns, 11 marching bands, 10 bands of show and some of the most important. stars…all gather to welcome Santa and kick off the holiday season.

Ahead of NBC’s Turkey Day (November 28) festivities, Entertainment Weekly has rounded up all the famous faces, hosts, floats and more that viewers can expect below.

Stars of Today Savannah Guthrie, Hoda Kotband Al Roker will reunite to host the Emmy Award-winning celebration.

Celebrity appearances

As always, this year’s Macy’s Parade will feature appearances and performances from a wide range of celebrities, including Bishop Briggs, Kylie Cantrall, Chlöe, Dan + Shay, Dasha, Jimmy Fallon & the Roots, Coco Jones, Walker Hayes, Ariana Madix, Joey McIntyre, Idina MenzelNatti Natasha T-painRachel Platten, Lea Salonga, Temptations, War and Treaty, Alex Warren and Sebastián Yatra.

Also performing will be competitive dancer Charli D’Amelio and ballet dancers Tiler Peck and Roman Mejia. Jonathan Bennett, Liza Colón-Zayas, Tom Kenny, Ginna Claire Mason and members of New York Liberty with Ellie the Elephant will also make special appearances.

Actress Alison Briestar of the Macy’s 2024 holiday campaign, will have the honor of cutting the ribbon at the start of the parade.

Of course, it’s not just about the stars during the event. Marching bands from schools across the country will also perform, as well as several performance groups, dancers and cheerleaders.

Broadway performers

Each year, casts from some of Broadway’s biggest shows take to the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade stage to bring their talents across the country. This year’s official national show will include performances from the Great White Way Death Becomes Her, Hell’s Kitchenand The outsiders as well as the iconic Radio City Rockettes.

Floats and balloons

Of course, it wouldn’t be a parade without balloons and floats, and this year promises to be bigger than ever. Six new character balloons will debut, including Disney’s Minnie Mouse from The Walt Disney Company; Extraordinary Noorah and the Elf on the Shelf by the Lumistella Company; Gabby from DreamWorks Animation; Goku by Dragon Ball/Toei Animation; Nickelodeon’s Marshall and Spin Master; and Marvel’s Spider-Man.

In addition to the usual fan favorites, six new floats will also debut at Macy’s Parade, including Candy Cosmos by Haribo; Nickelodeon and Paramount’s Dora’s Fantastical Rainforest; Magic Meets the Seas by Disney Cruise Line; Rao’s Homemade Knight Pasta; Netflix’s Masterfeast; and Wondrous World of Wildlife at the Bronx Zoo. New specialty drives for the 2024 Macy’s Parade include Strikes Again by Go Bowling!; Nickelodeon’s The Garriage, a whimsical carriage modeled after SpongeBob’s pet snail; and BBC Studios’ Granny’s Car Bluey.

The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade will air live on NBC from 8:30 am to 12 pm ET/PT on Thursday, November 28. The parade, which starts on Manhattan’s Upper West Side and ends at Macy’s Herald Square flagship store, will be simulcast on Peacock, and in case you miss it, there’s an encore airing on NBC at 2 pm ET/PT.
