Body By Design launches inquest into death of patient Lucy Wambui: ‘Deeply saddened’

• Lucy underwent surgery at Body By Design and her friends and family blamed the clinic for her death
• The cosmetic surgery clinic has since distanced itself from allegations of negligence, saying it would assist police in their investigations.

One of Kenya’s cosmetic surgery clinics, Body By Design, has released a statement following the death of Lucy Ng’ang’a, wife of flamboyant businessman Francis Ng’ang’a.

The beautiful wife of the motor dealer died recently at a hospital in the city.

She is said to have died days after undergoing surgery at Body by Design. In a statement regarding Instagraminfluencer Amira claimed that Lucy underwent cosmetic surgery and developed complications afterwards.

Lucy was then admitted to a city hospital where she was rushed for treatment and died four days later.

Did Body By Design release a statement after Lucy’s death?

The clinic released a statement saying they were deeply saddened by the death of one of their patients, Lucy.

They also stated that they have started investigations into the death. Part of their statement read:

“We are committed to maintaining the highest standards of care and transparency. As such, we have launched a thorough investigation into the events leading up to this tragedy. Our team works closely with the relevant authorities to ensure a complete and objective assessment. At Omicare Medical Limited We understand that this is a difficult time for everyone involved, out of respect for the family’s privacy and to allow the investigation to proceed unhindered, we are unable to provide further details at the time.

Mike Sonko, Youths Attack Body By Design Offices Over Allegations That They Are Behind Lucy Wambui’s Death

In other news, former Nairobi governor Mike Sonko they stormed the clinic with angry young men who stated that they are seeking justice for Lucy.

In a video, the youths were seen at the gate of the facility shouting and stating that they want justice for the deceased woman.

Sonko said they want to avoid more deaths.
