We just had the hottest and driest Helena October on record, according to NOAA weather data. But we have colder weather, with the possibility of snow accumulation on election day.

We had a beautiful day across the state. Mostly dry conditions with highs in the 50s.

Snow returns to much of western Montana Saturday and Sunday. A few showers are possible at lower elevations, especially on Saturday. dusting is expected without accumulation.

Tuesday is looking more and more likely to be our first snow accumulation in the Helena Valley this season. This may affect the electoral journey. Keep an eye on the forecast.

Drier and warmer conditions return for the second half of next week.
