Donald Trump will wrap up his campaign in Grand Rapids, Michigan

Former President Donald Trump will hold his final campaign event of 2024 Monday night in Grand Rapids in what has become a tradition, the campaign announced Friday.

Trump ended his successful 2016 campaign in Grand Rapids and also held his last campaign event there in 2020, when he lost the election to President Joe Biden.

Trump is scheduled to speak at 10:30 p.m. Monday at a rally at Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids in what is expected to be his last campaign event of 2024, the Trump campaign said in a news release Friday .

Michigan is a key battleground state, and Kent County, where Grand Rapids is the county seat, is a key swing state in Michigan. A Free Press poll released Friday showed Vice President Kamala Harris, the Democratic presidential nominee, has a 3 percentage point lead over Trump in Michigan. National polls also show an extremely close race.
