LaRochelle’s letters of support made an impression

As an avid reader of op-eds and letters in KJ, I tend to skip over the endorsement letters of various candidates not associated with my district, but read the headlines to determine which ones to read. There have been so many letters supporting Raegan LaRochelle that I’ve started reading the letters in support of her election and therefore wish I lived in her district to add my vote.

The qualities that I see expressed and valued letter by letter that won me over are: she listens to everyone; it is accessible to all; promote civility in government’ will lead us to our better selves; find common ground; they treat others with respect and many other qualities that embody the commitment to the good of the whole that is so vital to remaining a free and just society.

I wouldn’t know Raegan LaRochelle if she were sitting next to me in the checkout line, but I’d walk a mile (or two) to put an X next to her name on the ballot.
