Dave Grohl ‘Goes to Therapy to Save Marriage’ Amid Secret Baby Scandal

Dave Grohl is reportedly ‘going to therapy’ in a bid to save his marriage, just a month after dropping the bombshell that he secretly fathered a love child.

Grohl, who was spotted still without his wedding ring in Los Angeles on Monday, is said to be doing his best to make things right.

The Foo Fighters frontman, 55, whose ‘last ditch effort’ was recently revealed to win back his wife Jordyn Blum, looked sad as he carried an Amazon box to a house on a quiet, tree-lined street.

In an attempt to make things right, an insider tells InTouch that Grohl is “constantly texting on the phone and apologizing and going to therapy.”

He adds: “He’s trying to be a good parent, but at the same time it’s frustrating and he doesn’t understand that these things can take months, even years, to fix.”

The sighting comes after news that his band is expected to go on hiatus, with Grohl taking time to rebuild his family’s trust in the wake of the scandal.

The Nirvana founder shocked fans in September when he confessed to his infidelity in an Instagram post.

Sources say the confession was a “last ditch effort” to save her 21-year marriage to Blum, 48, with whom she shares three daughters, after she reportedly gave him an ultimatum.

Now, Grohl is said to be focusing all his energy on mending the relationship, making an effort to be there for Jordyn and support her in the day-to-day aspects of their life together.

“You think the marriage is salvageable, so why not try to fix it?” an insider exclusively told DailyMail.com.

They said Blum, who admitted she didn’t feel like he hadn’t been her “number one” in years, gave the rocker one last chance to try and repair their relationship.

“She gave him an ultimatum to figure it out and he wants to regain her trust,” the source continued.

“He needs to focus on her, this will be his best chance to get back to what they had. Dave is focusing on her needs.

The source added that Grohl initially chose to reveal his extramarital affair, intending to stay with Blum.

“Revealing (his affair and baby) in the first place was his last-ditch effort to save the marriage, because Jordyn knew long before the world found out,” they explained.

“I’d rather stay married.”

Grohl announced in a statement on September 10 that he had adopted a daughter as he vowed to try to “regain (the) trust” of his wife and three daughters.

“I recently became the father of a new daughter, born out of wedlock,” Grohl announced to his 1.4 million Instagram followers. “I was a loving and supportive father to her.

“I love my wife and children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness. We appreciate your consideration for all the children involved as we move forward together.”

DailyMail.com previously revealed how in the months leading up to the announcement, a “jealous” Grohl had been grilling Blum about her relationship with her “hot” tennis coach Christopher Crabb, 54, in what experts claimed was an attempt to downplay his own indiscretions.

Grohl and Blum met in 2001 and have been married since 2003.

The couple share three daughters: Violet, 18; Harper, 15; and Ofelia, 10 years old.

Blum has been comforted by close friend Kate Hudson and has received a multi-million dollar offer from a publisher for a tell-all book about her life with the former Nirvana drummer.
