The first good deal on the Google Pixel 9 Pro XL is finally here… with a catch

Unlike many other new ones android phones in recent years, GoogleIts latest ultra-high-end Pixel family has been annoyingly hard to find at a no-holds-barred discount during its first two months of availability in the US.

All but one place, one device, and one variant, ie. Yes, Woot is charging $200 less than usual for a “Fully Unlocked” Pixel 9 Pro XL with 128 GB of internal storage for a limited time. This absolutely amazing and obviously totally unprecedented deal is technically scheduled to run for five days as of this writing, but if you ask me, there’s a very good chance it’ll be gone much sooner.

That’s because the Amazon-owned e-tailer, which is selling the 6.8-inch super-farm with 16GB of RAM, three awesome rear-facing cameras, a surprisingly stunning 42MP selfie snapper and a powerful 5,060mAh battery at 899 USD instead of $1,099 only has brand-new Canadian units in an Obsidian color in stock.

It’s less than ideal because it means you have to settle for a 90-day seller warranty, rather than the typical 1-year coverage Google offers for new, unused, unopened, and undamaged devices available elsewhere. Additionally, Woot is unlikely to have many such copies in its possession, so I personally wouldn’t be surprised to see the offer expire within hours.

On the definitely bright side of things, at least you’re not dealing with shady refurbished or used smartphones of any kind. At $899, Pixel 9 Pro XL is undoubtedly one of the the best android phones currently in terms of its value for your money, and if the past few weeks are any indication, you may not see a better deal on offer any time soon. No, not even on Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

This Canadian model on sale here for less than ever should work flawlessly with all US carriers, mind you, so I see basically no reason for a bargain-hunting Google fan to turn down Woot’s killer . Pixel 9 Pro XL business. Unless, of course, you like smaller phones with stock Android, in which case you might want to go with Amazon. Pixel 9 discount while you can.
