Chuck Schumer has been labeled a “traitor” after a damning report reveals he quietly advised Columbia leaders to ignore criticism of anti-Semitism on campus.

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer faces treason charges following damning claims that he instructed Columbia University administrators to dismiss any criticism of the school’s handling of blatant violence and anti-Semitism on campus in the wake of the Hamas massacre in October 7, 2023 in Israel. .

The GOP-led Education and Workforce Committee, in a 325-page report, alleged that the New York Democrat advised then-university president Minouche Shafik that the school would be exempt from any control by Democrats , explaining that “the elite university’s political problems are really only among Republicans. .”

His staff then encouraged Columbia administrators that “the best strategy is to keep your head down,” according to the report.

“The self-proclaimed protector of the Jewish people. Chuckey Schumer is nothing but a traitorous kapo. He should be ashamed of himself,” said former Brooklyn state Rep. Dov Hikind, a Democrat-turned-Republican who heads the group Americans Against Antisemitism.

“He is a traitor to America. He is a traitor to the Jewish people. Shame on him! This is what the Democratic Party has become.”

The report came after the commission’s months-long investigation into the handling of anti-Israel protests earlier this year on 11 college campuses, including Columbia, Harvard University, Yale University and Northwestern University.

Private emails and text messages of university leaders, including Shafik, who resigned in August, were among the documents reviewed by the committee.

A spokesman for Schumer insisted that the report was “used to be false.”

“Sen. Schumer has regularly and forcefully condemned anti-Semitic acts in Columbia and elsewhere, saying “when protests devolve into anti-Semitism, verbal abuse, intimidation or glorification of the October 7 violence against the Jewish people, that crosses the line.” He conveyed that point publicly and to administrators privately,” Angelo Roefaro told The Post Thursday night.

“It’s worth noting here that Republicans are quoting words from someone who isn’t Chuck Schumer. That’s called hearsay,” he added.

According to the report, Columbia administrators ridiculed the committee for reviewing their oversight of campus violence and bias and sent text messages about how they hoped Democrats would take control of Congress after Shafik’s talk with Schumer.

In texts with board co-chairs David Greenwald and Claire Shipman in January, Shafik described Schumer as “very positive and supportive (and quite the storyteller).

University leadership then felt emboldened to avoid any type of meeting with Republicans after Schumer and his staff indicated that a forum with the political party was not necessary, the report said.

Greenwald then echoed Schumer’s advice, writing, “If we keep our heads down, maybe we shouldn’t meet with the Republicans.”

Since Hamas’s murderous raid on Israel, Jewish students at Columbia have received death threats, been spat on, stalked and targeted as the Ivy League school has turned into a cesspool of anti-Semitic hate. according to a troubling report released by the university in August.

Students also had their jewelry ripped off as they entered and left the synagogue, were reprimanded for showing support for Zionist causes, invoked ethnic slurs, and saw Israeli flags burned.

Anti-Israel protesters from a campus encampment barricaded themselves in Hamilton Hall in April and tried to rename it Hind’s Hall after a Palestinian child was killed in the conflict.

Fish 100 people were caught after the police responded to Columbia’s request to help remove the destructive mob that had illegally taken over the academic building.

“The report is more evidence of what we already knew: Columbia has not done its job to prevent anti-Semitism on campus,” said Ari Shrage, head of the Columbia Jewish Alumni Association.

“Unfortunately, the report also shows that many of its members are part of the deep institutional rot. Their statement today is another ‘word salad’ and the horrific events on campus in recent weeks show that they keep talking but not taking action.”

As the new school year began last month, Columbia was slammed by several anti-Israel protesters who defaced an Alma Mater statue on college grounds with red paint.

“The recent report from the House Committee on Education and the Workforce demonstrates how Democrats are talking out of both sides of their mouths,” Republican U.S. Senate candidate Mike Sapraicone told The Post.

“Senator Schumer’s reports rejecting blatant violence and anti-Semitism are exactly why I’m running to replace his counterpart, who is just a rubber stamp. Election Day will prove that Americans will not tolerate anymore.”

The Republican-led panel on education also found that the Ivy League university leaders made a “deliberate decision” to cut language condemning Hamas’ massacre of more than 1,200 civilians as “violence” and references to their Israeli hostages from any official statements after the brutal attack.

“We denounce this act of terror,” read an earlier version of the statement, which was discarded, according to the report. The report also found that several schools refused support to Jewish students.

Columbia has not yet responded to a request for comment.
