Two arrested after stealing more than ,000 in merchandise from multiple stores

LEBANON, Tenn. (WSMV) – Two women were arrested Tuesday for shoplifting from multiple stores, according to the Lebanon Police Department.

Police said they responded to Ross on West Main for reports of burglars. Officers were able to locate the two women matching the descriptions given and were found to be concealing clothing.

LPD said the women also had a security tag removal tool.

Further investigation revealed that the women had also shoplifted in the Hermitage and Mt. Juliet.

The combined total of the merchandise stolen was more than $1,000, LPD said.

Police said the women, who are not from the area, have been arrested and are facing charges.
