Fun Halloween events happening around the West Mesa

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) – Halloween is finally here and with many communities coming together to celebrate, here’s a festive roundup of all the events happening in the community.

From 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., join Springfield Police Unit C3, the Hampden County Sheriff’s Department, the South End Citizens Council and the Italian Cultural Club for a Family Halloween Party at South End Middle School at 36 Margaret Street .

You can also enjoy some trick-or-treating at the Holyoke Mall for their annual Mall-O-Ween event from 4-6pm. Families and children of all ages can enjoy trick-or-treating throughout the mall, where participating businesses will provide. tons of candy. Plus, there will be a Halloween costume contest for a chance to win great prizes.

The Greenfield Recreation Department is calling all ghosts and ghouls for a downtown Halloween celebration from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m. It starts with a free screening of “It’s The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown” at Greenfield Garden Cinema. Then enjoy trick-or-treating with local businesses from 4-5:30pm, they’ll also be giving away a free bag of treats at the Town Hall!

At 5:45 p.m., join the Greenfield High School Marching Band for the Rag Shag Parade, where all children in costume and even pets are welcome. There will also be a costume contest with delicious pizza prizes in various fun categories.

And finally, don’t miss the Franklin County YMCA’s Family Fun Night from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., with indoor games, inflatable obstacle courses and more.
