When incidents like this happen, BBC Verify looks at footage posted online to find out what’s real and build a picture of what happened.

There is a lot of material circulating about this attack that we are working with.

One video we’ve verified so far is filmed in a parking lot at the Turkish Aeropace Industries (TAI) building on the outskirts of the capital Ankara.

After a few seconds, you can see and hear the explosion under a distinctive part of the building, as well as we verified the video of the location.

Then, about 16 seconds into the video, you can see what appears to be a man with a large gun and a large package moving into the shot.

He moves forward, then turns. At the moment we cannot be sure if this was one of those responsible for the attack due to the quality of the video and the distance it is located.

There are more dramatic images from the complex that we are currently working to verify.
