Shock exit for Emmerdale favorite as she leaves town after shock betrayal

Emmerdale fans have seen the truth finally come out about Caleb Milligan’s hidden money tricks, leaving poor woman Ruby Fox-Milligan with no choice.

ITV viewers watched as Ruby was left devastated to discover her husband had managed to get £100,000 from her mum before she died and had been keeping it from her.

Viewers watched as Ruby was left horrified after discovering Caleb had secretly visited her dying mother behind her back and denied her the chance to say goodbye.

She was later left seething with him as it was revealed that he had secretly taken £100,000 of Helen’s inheritance without telling a soul.

He tried to cover it up without implying that Ruby knew anything.

However, after investigations into the will, he was shocked to learn from the solicitor that he had spoken to Caleb about the £100,000.

In an explosive row, she confronted Caleb and finally got the truth out of him, including that her mother hadn’t talked about her before she died.

It looked like this might really be it for the pair’s marriage, with Ruby devastated by the betrayal.

In another episode, Caleb seemed to be trying to find forgiveness after a sharp word from Laurel that he had to prove to Ruby that he deserved forgiveness.

With the flowers in hand, Caleb hoped he could show he was sorry, but it wouldn’t be enough to smooth things over.

Caleb also revealed that he has been talking to Suni Sharma about the possibility of visiting their son Nicky Milligan.

However, Suni is just happy to have Ruby visit her, which Caleb suggested might be the break she needs from the village.

Trying to patch things up with Ruby, she explained, “(Nicky) knows about your mom and everything that’s been going on, and he agrees that it would be nice if you got away for a bit.”

The gesture brought Ruby to tears after a difficult few months as she said, “That’s really very thoughtful of you.”

ITV viewers have since seen Ruby leave Emmerdale, if only temporarily, as she takes time out to see her son and take a break from the village.

It remains to be seen if she and Caleb can completely patch things up after her lies and hiding £100,000 from him.

Fans have also speculated that Ruby could have a heartwarming love story, with many fans thinking that a newly returned Ross Barton could be the perfect match for Ruby after Caleb’s betrayal.
