Will ex-model Stacey Williams indictment hurt Donald Trump’s poll prospects? – The Week

In the latest allegation, former US President Donald Trump was accused of touching model Stacey Williams, who had met the Republican candidate through late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein in the 1990s.

The model, Stacey Williams, alleged that the former US president sexually touched her in Trump Tower in 1993. It was a “twisted game” between two men, she said.

Williams said she had met Trump in 1992 at a Christmas party after being introduced by Epstein, who had been casually dating her for a few months.

“Donald and him were very, very good friends and spent a lot of time together,” Williams said.

The palpitations incident occurred in 1993 when Epstein suggested visiting Trump at Trump Tower while they were walking.

Epstein was later convicted of sex crimes and committed suicide in prison in 2019.

Williams alleged that the moment she met Trump at the Tower, he approached her and began groping her. “He had his hands all over my chest, waist and buttocks,” she said.

Frozen by the incident, she recalled being in a “deeply confused” state.

Denying the allegations, Trump campaign press secretary Karoline Leavitt said the allegations were “unequivocally false.”

“These allegations, made by a former Barack Obama campaigner and announced on a Harris campaign call two weeks before the election … are a false story,” the statement said.

Williams, 56, a native of Pennsylvania, has shared her allegations in social media posts before. Details of the alleged incident were shared by Williams on a call Monday organized by a group called Survivors for Kamala, which supports Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris.

This is not the first allegation of sexual misconduct against Trump. The Survivors for Kamala also published an ad in the New York Times this week, signed by 200 survivors of sexual and gender-based violence.

During the call, Williams said Epstein was angry with her after they left Trump Tower. “Why did you let him do that?” Epstein had asked leaving her feeling “disgusted” and “totally confused”.

At Trump Tower, Williams had mentioned that she had seen the two men exchange smiles when Trump touched her inappropriately, The Guardian reported.

About two dozen women have accused Trump, who has been convicted of multiple crimes, of sexual misconduct for decades.

A former model Amy Dorris has also accused Trump of sexual misconduct.

Last year, a jury found Trump responsible for sexually abusing E columnist Jean Carroll in 1996 and awarded her $5 million at trial.
