Democrats, Kamala Harris launch Hitler Hail Mary as failed campaign enters final days

In the final stretch of the 2024 presidential campaign, The Atlantic published an article that made a clear comparison between Donald Trump and historical dictators such as Hitler, Stalin and Mussolini. The magazine noted similarities in rhetoric, particularly Trump’s use of dehumanizing language and divisive tactics, which the article argues echo the tactics of authoritarian leaders. The piece was part of it The AtlanticContinued criticism of Trump’s political approach, claiming that he uses strongman-style politics to gain and maintain power.

“Kamala Harris is a cold-blooded loser who is increasingly desperate because she is being agitated and her campaign is in tatters. That is why she continues to put out lies and falsehoods that are easily debunked. The fact is that the dangerous rhetoric of Kamala is directly responsible for the multiple assassination attempts against President Trump and she continues to fan the flames of violence all in the name of politics. She is despicable and her grotesque behavior shows that she is completely unfit for office.” said Steven Cheung, communications director for the Trump campaign

Meanwhile, Vice President Kamala Harris echoed those sentiments in a televised interview with MSNBC. He linked Trump’s statements on immigration, particularly when he referred to migrants as “poisoning the blood of our country,” to the kind of language used by Hitler. Harris emphasized the need to understand and reject this rhetoric, framing it as a threat to American unity.

Trump criticized Harris’ dwindling support within his own party as the election approached.

“Kamala Harris’ implosion campaign has become so TOXIC, Democratic senators from four different states are using me in their ads and saying they stand with President Trump on tariffs and many other things. Even though it’s big compliment, not fair to the Republican Senate candidates, Bernie Moreno, Eric Hovde, and Sam Brown, who are with me all the time. These Democrats have voted with Crooked Joe Biden almost 100% of the time they intend to be by my side when the election comes out,” he said.

That comparison, especially during an election season, has drawn backlash from both sides. Critics argue that such analogies could be seen as alarmist or disrespectful of historical context, while supporters insist that drawing such parallels is necessary to highlight the perceived dangers in Trump’s political trajectory.
