Apple iPad mini 7 goes on sale in India: Price and other details

Apple released its latest iPad mini 7 tablet in India earlier this month. The latest iPad is already on sale in 29 countries, including India. Apple’s iPad mini 7 contains an 8.3-inch Liquid Retina display and is powered by Apple itself. A17 Pro chipset. The tablet includes support for Apple Pencil Pro and runs on iPadOS 18.

Price and availability

The new iPad mini, available for purchase from today (October 23). Its price starts from Rs 49,900 and Rs 64,900 for the Wi-Fi and cellular models respectively. It comes in four colors, including new blue and purple options. Customers can purchase the Apple iPad mini 7 from Apple.in and other authorized online and offline channels.

At the core of the update is the A17 Pro chip, originally introduced in last year’s iPhone 15 Pro series. Apple claims it offers a 30% increase in CPU performance and 25% faster graphics compared to the previous iPad mini. The Neural Engine is now twice as fast, improving compatibility with Apple Intelligence features.
Despite the internal updates, the exterior of the iPad mini remains largely unchanged from its 2021 model. It still features the 8.3-inch Liquid Retina display with a resolution of 2266 x 1488 at 326 ppi. The 12MP front-facing camera is positioned for portrait orientation and supports Center Stage for video calling, while the rear retains a 12MP camera with Smart HDR 4.
Connectivity improvements include support for Wi-Fi 6E and a faster USB-C port, now capable of transferring data at up to 10 Gbps. A 5G mobile model is also available.
Storage options have doubled, with the base model starting at 128GB and a new 512GB option added to the lineup. The iPad mini is now also compatible with the new Apple Pencil Pro.
