Suspect arrested after more than 20 abandoned dogs found in search

St. LOUIS – A suspect is facing charges after police found several weapons and more than 20 dogs during a search warrant investigating animal cruelty in north St. Louis.

The search warrant was executed in the 8000 block of Riverview Boulevard in the North Pointe neighborhood of North St. Louis.

During the search, the Metropolitan Police of St. Louis says he found several weapons and more than 20 dogs at the site, all with obvious signs of neglect and abuse.

Police say a suspect was arrested at the scene of the search on multiple charges including animal cruelty, improper disposal of a dead animal and unlawful use of a weapon.
