Sometimes when two video game characters really love each other, their models awkwardly face each other while a voice actor does a really good job of making you feel less embarrassed that the romance of it all might have been cut short easily for a poorly timed t-pose if the devs weren’t as bogged down as they usually are.

Anyway, Dragon Age: The Veilguard, while Bioware has previously been a little shy with wangs, is one of those RPGs that proudly boasts the option to engage in the kind of virtual romance that is almost socially acceptable, as long as you don’t start looking. increase the prices of certain unofficial goods. This is detailed in the ESRB rating explanation that has finally arrived, as well as some pretty funny dialogue that makes players laugh.

“The game contains sexual material,” this summary says, “characters kissing, moaning and straddling each other; characters fondling each other while in their underwear; dialogue that refers to sex (e.g. ., “Think about us having sex”; trying to have sex with me?’) Characters are sometimes depicted topless for extended periods of time (eg character customization) and/or during love scenes. The word ‘f**k’ appears in the game.”

As expected, ‘Are you trying to have sex with me?’ – considering the multitude of contexts and meanings it could have, from flirting, ap**s off, to teasing, and something that could only be said by a mate who wants you to stop rummaging through his inventory, it’s the piece . this got people talking. Who’s to say, many on Reddit have asked, while others have offered guesses, including Lucanis, Bellara, the Rooks themselves, and, uh, Solas.

Lucanis seems to have won the most hits so far, with one user saying, “the only person uncomfortable enough to ask the question like that is Lucanis and it will destroy the internet if it happens.” No pressure on the guy, then.

We don’t seem to be at the stage of people making character art that speaks the line into existence, like they did with “I’ll take sexual pleasure later, thinking about it with great respect” – the line sus of choice for the ESRB summary of Dragon Age: Inquisition, but hey, there’s still time.

If you’re struggling to make it through the final stretch before Veilguard comes out on October 31st and can figure out who’s saying it, be sure to check back for what we saw of the game in September’s State of Play and check out our preview previous practice at the beginning of the year…
