Enjoy Sonic and politics at the upcoming “Bridge the Gap” event.

Join BridgeArkansas for a night full of political discourse and Sonic drinks! Students will be divided into six tables of five, with each table designated a different policy topic, such as immigration/border controls, the cost of higher education, etc.

Each table will have a moderator who will ask questions and facilitate a public conversation on each topic. After 10 minutes, the groups will switch in a way that ensures everyone has a chance to engage with all six topics and interact with different people in each round.

BridgeArkansas is part of BridgeUSA, a national, nonpartisan organization working to end political polarization on 64 college campuses in 38 states. Co-founders Kate Tandy and Maddie Gwinner participated in this event at BridgeUSA’s national convention in Chicago over the summer and had the opportunity to engage in civic discourse with students from around the country.
