Watch: Salman Khan talks about ‘Blackbuck murder’ in old video; social networks react

A day after Bollywood actor Salman Khan’s father, famous film director Salim Khan, claimed that his son had not killed any blackbuck, an old video has surfaced on social media where Salman had opened up on “blackbuck murder”.

In a Reddit post, shared by r/BollyBlindsNGossip, an India today A reporter was seen asking Salman if he killed the blackbuck. To this, Salman replied, “I was not the one who shot the blackbuck.”

The video has received many views and several netizens have commented on it.

Here are a few comments:

One wrote: “This is a very good example of sensible anchoring/journalism by the host. He asks very personal but probing questions to a man who could be easily triggered but in every sentence he shows enough empathy like Salman . time but finally opens up to answer.”

A second replied: “Bhoi did a lot of terrible things but no one really knows who shot this poor animal. It could have been him, it could have been one of the other 3. The fact is they were all out there hunting endangered animals extinction as if it were some kind of sport.”

“Old cases are strong, if he had committed the same crime now he would have been closed by now. Give me an example like this has happened in the last 10-12 years,” commented the third.

A fourth netizen said, “He is telling the truth. Not many know, but those who know believe he was the same driver who ran over people sleeping on the side of the road with Salman’s car.”

Salim alleges that the threats to Salman are extortion:

In a recent interaction with Dainik BhaskarSalim Khan had alleged that the threats are nothing but “extortion”. He added, as DB pointed out: “Who should Salman apologize to? Apologies are meant for those with whom you have committed a crime.”

Salim Khan further pointed out, “Did Salman commit any crime? Did you see him? Do you know? Did you investigate? We didn’t even use a gun. Salman said he wasn’t even there at that time. Usko koi shauq nahi janwar maarne ka.. (he has no interest in killing animals) .. he loves animals,” Salim Khan claimed, as reported by Dainik Bhaskar.

Apart from this, Salim refuted claims of any link between Salman Khan and the killing of NCP leader Baba Siddique. He had said, “There is no connection between Salman and the killing of Baba Siddique. The killing of Baba Siddique happened because of a property dispute.”

Salman Khan recently received a threatening message on WhatsApp from the Mumbai Traffic Police. The message asked Khan for money “to end his long-standing rivalry with Lawrence Bishnoi”.

Salman Khan became a target of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang after his name came up in the Blackbuck murder case of 1998. The incident happened during the shooting of the 1999 film ‘Hum Saath Saath Hain’, and Salman Khan allegedly hunted a blackbuck in Jodhpur, Rajasthan.
