Over the weekend, the former Top Gear host told how doctors told him he was days away from death after he was rushed to hospital.

The star was forced to undergo an emergency procedure to have a stent inserted. A stent is a small wire mesh tube that is inserted into the body to keep it open and is often used to treat narrowed blood vessels.

The broadcaster, 64, fell ill on holiday in January but when he returned home, he experienced a “sudden deterioration” in his health which led him to believe he was having a heart attack.

Taking to Instagram on Monday morning (October 21), the blonde bombshell shared a snap of Jeremy outside her farm. He simply captioned the post: “Patient away from home.” Hours earlier, he updated fans on his health after going under the knife.

Lisa wrote: “Patient update. @jeremyclarkson1 is now 2 stents heavier and so much happier about it. Lovely messages from so many. Thanks!”

Comedian Jason Byrne was one of the first to share his support for the Clarkson’s Farm host as he shared his own health battle.

He reassured Lisa: “She’s going to be great Lisa. I had six stents, because of the Irish mammy and daddy genes. I’ve been flying ever since. Her blood flow is going to all kinds of places now (heart emoji) in every cloud.”

Jeremy then made it clear he hasn’t lost his sense of humor amid his health battle as he added to The Sun: “I’ve only got to do no manual labor or emptying the dishwasher for the next four years. At least I think that’s what the doctor said.”

It comes after the motoring journalist revealed his dog had also been in the operating room in what he described as a “crap week”.

The worrying health update comes just days after Clarkson shared a picture of what appeared to be a white surgical cast on her wrist on Instagram.

The TV favorite wrote in his column in The Sunday Times how he felt “mostly dead” after returning to the beach after a short swim during his romantic getaway to a small island in the Indian Ocean.

He spent the rest of his break on a tropical island eating cheese and drinking wine. It wasn’t until he returned to Britain and started working on the farm that he noticed pins and needles in his left arm.

Describing what he called the “wearying effects of ageing,” Clarkson said, “It seems that of the arteries that were feeding my heart with nutritious blood, one was completely blocked and the second of the three was going that way.”

Speaking about his life-saving surgery, which took around two hours to complete, Jeremy reassured followers: “It wasn’t particularly painful. Just weird.”
