No relief for Group I aspirants, SC refuses to stay Telangana Exam Today

Hyderabad: In a major setback for Group I aspirants, the Supreme Court on Monday refused to stay the mains examination in Telangana. The Three-Judge Court also declined to issue interim orders on the examinations. “The Court cannot interfere with the examination, the students must have already reached the examination hall,” he said.

It may be recalled that a special leave petition was filed against the Telangana State Public Service Commission (TGPSC) regarding the conduct of recruitment for Group I services.

The Group I aspirants filed the petition challenging the GO 29 issued by the Telangana government, which according to them, violates the Constitution and deprives reserved category candidates of their opportunity for the Mains examination.
