THRILLED fans, former work colleagues, loved ones and friends flooded social media with sad tributes to Liam Payne after news of his death emerged.

Anne, Harry Styles’ mother was among the first in the One Direction camp to share their reaction, posting a photo of Liam and writing “Just a boy…” alongside a broken heart emoji.

Amanda Holden, Britain’s Got Talent judge shared a picture of the couple along with the words: “Such a horrible tragedy.

“Sending love to his family and all those who loved him.”

X Factor star Olly Murs he told fans he was “devastated” and “lost for words”.

She wrote on social media: “Liam shared the same passions as me, the same dreams, so to see his life end now so young makes me so strong, I am truly heartbroken and devastated for his family and, of course his son Bear losing a father x”.

Liam Gallagher he said he was “so sad” and told his followers on X: “Life is beautiful Kids, you only get to do it once, take it easy.”

Dermot O’Leary, former X Factor presenter he has also expressed his shock and spoke on This Morning.

She said: “I remember him when he was 14 when he came to audition for The X Factor and blew us away singing Sinatra. He just loved to sing.

“He was always a joy, had time for everyone, polite, grateful and always humble.”

Zoe Ball, BBC Radio 2 presenter reacted to the “devastating news” on her show, telling fans that she gave her own son Woody a big hug this morning.

Marvin Humes, member of the band JLS reflected on her memories with the singer, sharing: ‘I first met Liam in 2008 with the JLS boys while auditioning for X Factor… I was 14.

“We clicked instantly and looked at him as a little brother… it worked for us that year but not for him and two years later he auditioned again and One Direction was born… the rest is history…

“Absolutely heartbroken by the tragic news..Liam you wanted to be a global superstar and you did bro..can’t believe things have ended this way..it’s shocking..the my thoughts and prayers are with all your family. and friends bro..RIP.”

Niall Horan’s brother Greg shared an emotional tribute to Liam, praising him as a ‘young man’.

He added: “You will be forever missed. Liam, words cannot describe how much I want to hold my brother and hold him now as the world shows its memories of you and him and the boys.

“My heart goes out to your parents and sisters in your family and to your son Bear and your 1D brothers.

“October 10th we met and started that night as 5 families in one big family 1D thanks for all the laughs watch with all your family and take care much love kiddo xxx 1D 4 LIFE xxx”

German DJ Anton Zaslavskiaka Zedd, has taken X with a devastating statement.

The producer, who worked with Liam on his 2017 hit Get Low, wrote: “RIP Liam… I can’t believe this is real… absolutely heartbreaking…”

american singer, Charlie Puthwho was friends with Liam and also collaborated with him on a song called Bedroom Floor, has posted a series of Instagram stories dedicated to him.

Alongside photos of the two together in their younger days, Charlie wrote: “I’m in shock right now. Liam was always so kind to me.

“He was one of the first major artists I worked with. I can’t believe he’s gone…

“I’m really upset right now, may he rest in peace. I’m so sorry…”

Irish singing duo Jedward He also took to social media, saying: “RIP Liam Payne. Condolences to friends and family.”

In another tweet, they added: “Sending strength to Cheryl and her son Bear. And to the whole One direction family. RIP Liam Payne.”

American media personality Paris Hilton shared: “So upset to hear the news of Liam Payne’s death. Sending love and condolences to his family and loved ones. RIP my friend.”

ITV weather presenter Alex Beresford shared a news video of Liam’s tragic death on Instagram, adding: “Can’t believe it! RIP Liam.”

In the meantime Love Island star Molly Marsh He wrote: “I’m so shocked, rest in peace.”

James Cordon he also paid his own tribute, describing the star as a “loving and kind soul”.

The Gavin and Stacey actor wrote on Instagram: “Talking about Liam in the past is absolutely heartbreaking.

“I will treasure the times I was able to spend with him. My thoughts are with his family today x.”

Payne previously appeared on Cordon’s The Late Late Show in America.

Former Little Mix star Jade Thirwall – who won the X Factor with his bandmates a year after One Direction took part – described him as “the first friend I ever made in this industry”.

He said: “We drifted apart over the years but in 2008 he was the first friend I made in this industry.

“We are both so young, so ambitious, both hoping to ‘make it’. I hope you are at peace now.”

Camila Cabello described her death as a “tragedy” and said it “made an impression on her” as a child.
