Liam Payne’s girlfriend Kate Cassidy breaks silence after his death

One Direction member Liam Payne’s girlfriend Kate Cassidy took to Instagram to break her silence on Payne’s death.

“I’ve been completely lost. Nothing the last few days has felt real,” she wrote on her Instagram story on Friday. (Instagram stories disappear after 24 hours.)

“Liam, my angel. You are everything. I want you to know that I have loved you unconditionally and completely. I will continue to love you for the rest of my life,” she continued.

Cassidy, a 25-year-old model and influencer, was with Payne in Buenos Aires, Argentina, just days before she died on Wednesday after falling from the third floor balcony of her hotel room.

“I ask and pray that you give me the grace and space to navigate this privately,” Cassidy wrote on social media.

Shortly before his death, a hotel manager called 911 and asked for help with a guest who was “too high on drugs and alcohol.”

“When the guest is conscious, he’s breaking everything in the room. And we need you to send someone over, please,” the manager said on the call.

“We need you to send someone urgently because I don’t know if his life is in danger because the guest is in a room with a balcony, and we’re a little afraid that he might do something life-threatening.”

Payne, 31, was found dead in the hotel courtyard. An autopsy report concludes that Payne died of multiple trauma and external bleeding. His toxicology report has not been released.

Payne, who was open about his struggles with addiction and mental health, was one of five members of One Direction. Payne was known as the angry, no-nonsense quintet who went from a TV talent show to a pop phenomenon with a huge international following of swooning fans.

Fans around the world have paid tribute to Payne.

He leaves behind a 7-year-old son.
