Coronation Street star Kit’s real heartache after split | TV and radio Show and television

Coronation Street favorite Jacob Roberts, famous for his role as Christopher ‘Kit’ Green, has split from PR executive Amy Harris after a five-year romance. The 33-year-old actor raised eyebrows in June by removing all of Amy’s snaps from his Instagram profile, a move reciprocated by Amy, who hinted at their split.

The duo were a regular fixture at glitzy parties and cozy dinner parties, but the catalyst for their split remains shrouded in mystery, according to OK!.

His abrupt exit follows Jacob’s move to Hollyoaks as Damon Kinsella, a gig he held until it was cut short by a move to renew the show in 2023.

Since his explosive entrance on the set of Coronation Street, he has been embroiled in the puzzling disappearance of Lauren Bolton and the intrigue surrounding Joel’s disappearance. Lately, fans have been picking up clues that suggest Kit might be more tied to Joel’s murder than first appeared, especially during scenes with DS Swain (played by Vicky Myers) that seem to unravel a possible collusion between the two, leaving the viewers to reflect on who really. struck the fatal blow.

One viewer took to the internet and theorized: “I was Dee Dee style detective with this and I need a life but when Kit and Swain are at Joel’s flat they are clearly discussing/making sure they have a believable story and they are leaving no evidence of their cover-up,” reports the Mirror.

While another added fuel to the speculative fire with: “Rewatched the scenes, when Swain said ‘Betsy’s involvement changed everything’ – she’s killed him so much / accidentally killed him.”

Jacob, the latest addition to the soap’s cast, could barely contain his excitement as he commented: ‘It’s absolutely amazing… when I first walked onto the set it felt a bit overwhelming because the the attention to detail is amazing, it really makes you feel like you’re on a real street.”

He added: “My mum and dad are really happy too which is lovely. My mum has always watched Coronation Street, I’ve always kept up too so it’s surreal to be here. Meeting everyone . from the cast and crew was fantastic, I really feel at home here.”

Elaborating on his character, Jacob revealed: “I’m looking forward to everyone getting to know Kit, but I think he’s going to be a very misunderstood character at first. He’s been hurt a lot throughout his life and even though he has a good heart, he has a lot of resentment very rooted with his birth mother, Bernie, who will be very interesting to play.”

Coronation Street is on ITV at 8pm on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and is available to stream from 7am on ITVX
