Nintendo Switch 2 leak reveals a big upgrade to the current Switch

A new Nintendo Switch 2 leak appeared online this weekend. The leak, a drawing based on a leaked image, allegedly reveals what the console looks like, what the new dock looks like, and what the console stand looks like. As expected, the console looks more or less like the current Nintendo Switch. To that end, the dock also looks very similar, though perhaps a bit more rounded than the current dock. What looks different, according to the drawing, is the stand.

Those who bought the original standard Nintendo Switch will know that it has the most delicate built-in support ever. It’s far from enough, which is why it got an update with the launch of the Nintendo Switch OLED, but even that support left a lot of room for improvement.

To that end, Nintendo seems to know. According to the leak mentioned above, the Nintendo Switch 2 will have wider support and it also looks a bit sturdier.

Whether it ends up being an upgrade to the Nintendo Switch’s wide OLED stand remains to be seen, but it will certainly be a major upgrade to the standard Nintendo Switch and its world’s smallest stand.

That said, take everything with a grain of salt. This is just speculation based on a currently unverifiable leak from a source with a short track record of reliability.

Rumors say that the Nintendo Switch 2 will be very similar to the current Switch, which would lead you to believe that it will have a stand. The question is how sturdy this stand will be. But as alluded to, anything would be an upgrade to the original Nintendo Switch stand.
