Delhi man dies after girlfriend sends self-harm video

NEW DELHI: A 30-year-old man who took his girlfriend to a hospital after receiving a video of her slitting her wrist died on Saturday.
Police said the man fainted and died after witnessing his critical condition. The police suspect that he may have suffered a cardiac arrestbut they are waiting for more information to determine the exact cause of his death.
According to police, they received a PCR call at 3:34 a.m. between Friday and Saturday, reporting an unconscious man who had entered Kailash Deepak Hospital. However, the doctors had already declared him dead when the police arrived.
Further investigation revealed that Nanda’s friend, a resident of Jagatpuri, had been admitted to the same hospital for self-inflicted injuries caused by cutting his veins with a sharp object in the Anand Vihar Shahdara area of ​​Delhi.
“Initially we learned that she had sent the video of the injury to her friend Arun through a messaging app. After seeing her condition, Arun fainted in the hospital suddenly and was declared brought dead after being examined by the doctors,” said the officer. .
Arun’s body was sent to the Subzi Mandi mortuary on Saturday for a post-mortem and was later handed over to his family members after the post-mortem.
