Víctor Osimhen took the fans through with his kick goal for Galatasaray in their 3-0 win at Antalyaspor on their return from a three-week injury lay-off.

Osimhen suffered a muscle injury in the 3-3 draw against Kasimpasa a week before the international break, forcing him to miss Nigeria’s 2025 AFCON qualifiers.

He boosted his return from injury by joining the team’s training session last week, with manager Okan Buruk opting to start him on the bench alongside Mauro Icardi.

Osimhen reacts to his goal

Many fans hailed the goal as one of the best scored this weekend, proving that the Nigeria international is an elite striker.

As seen in a video on Galatasaray’s Instagram, the striker explained the technique and patience behind his goal.

“I wanted to do it the first time, but then the guy came before me. If I did and I touched it, it’s a free kick, so I let it bounce and the guy went down, so it was easy for me,” he said.

“For a long time I wanted to score this type of goals, it came at the right time. Ballistics.”

“It’s good, it’s amazing, it was ridiculous,” he added.

As noted by Transfermarkt, he took his tally to three goals and four assists in five games since joining the Turkish champions on a season-long loan from Napoli.

Buruk made plans for Osimhen

YEN.com.gh reported that the head coach of Galatasaray before the return of the injured striker on loan after the international break.

The manager followed through with his plans and started the forward as a substitute. The Nigerian came off the bench and scored twice, the first of which was ruled out for offside.
