Joanne McNally suffers a hairdressing bug in New York

Joanne McNally is known to be pretty outspoken, from her comedy routines to her podcast with Vogue Williams, but there’s a line even she won’t cross. He found himself in an all-too-familiar awkward situation while on a trip to New York City.

The funny woman was left speechless after going to the hair salon in the hope of getting a good blow dry. Joanne was left quite baffled after the stylist gave her a dodgy job.

Joanne took to social media to show fans the look she’d been left with, saying: “I’ve just had a blow dry that can only be described as chaotic. I can’t understand it at all, it’s as if they were doing it the other way around.”

Despite the comedian’s displeasure with the blow-dry, he revealed he didn’t say anything to the hairdresser. And we have to say it’s such an Irish thing.

Joanne explained that she “wouldn’t even complain in an Irish hairdresser”, let alone one in New York! Sound familiar? Instead, she was forced to scrape her freshly dried hair into a tight ponytail.

The 41-year-old was in the US to host the live shows of her My Therapist Ghosted Me podcast alongside co-host and best friend Vogue Williams. Joanne chose to extend her trip to New York to spend time with friends after Vogue flew home to be with her husband Spencer and their three children.

Joanne took to social media to share a series of snapshots from the tour, writing: “My Therapist Ghosted Me Live is over and Vogue has left me, I’m still here,” she wrote.

“But thanks to everyone who came to see us in New York, Boston and Toronto! We loved every minute of it. I’m going to miss those tapes.” Joanne hasn’t said when she’ll be back home, though, other than the disaster of the hairdresser, looks like she’s having a great time.
