A man kills his daughter-in-law for refusing sexual advances

Kurnool: A man allegedly killed his daughter-in-law on Saturday after she denied his sexual advances in Nagaturu village, Nandikotkur Mandal, Nandyal district. The victim, identified as 30-year-old Sirisha, was a daily wage laborer and resident of the village.

According to police reports, the attack took place while Sirisha was working in a field. The accused, Kurumanna, allegedly tried to sexually assault her. When she resisted and tried to run away, he hit her with a stone, causing serious injuries that resulted in her death on the spot.

The facts came to light after the victim’s relatives approached the police to report the crime. The Nandikotkur rural police have registered a case and launched an investigation into the matter.
