Bollywood star Shraddha Kapoor recently achieved a social media milestone by becoming the second most followed Indian celebrity on Instagram, surpassing even Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Reflecting on this achievement, Shraddha shared that she believes authenticity is key as people are drawn to the real you. He mentioned that he never expected that having a large number of Instagram followers would become such a big deal.

Shraddha Kapoor, now the second most followed Indian on Instagram with 93.6 million followers, only behind Virat Kohli’s 270 million, recently reflected on her social media journey. Speaking at a recent launch event, he encouraged young users to embrace authenticity online, stressing that being true to yourself is more valuable than chasing numbers.

She emphasized the importance of staying authentic in a space where many feel pressured to change themselves for attention, as it can affect mental well-being. “I never imagined that this would become a big thing, to have X number of followers, it just happened. I feel like people want to see who you are, so the best thing is to be yourself,” she said.

The Stree 2 actress, who is known for her playful interactions with fans, shared how much she loves connecting with her ‘Insta family’. He noted that some of the comments are so creative that he can’t help but respond.

Shraddha, who personally manages her social media, attributes the fun and camaraderie to her followers, whom she fondly calls ‘Shraddha Gems’ or ‘Babudis’. She shared that over the years, that bond has gotten stronger, making Instagram a great platform to connect with fans in a heartfelt way.

She expressed how special her connection with her “Insta family” feels, even without meeting them in person. He acknowledged that while social media can have its drawbacks, his experience has been overwhelmingly positive. Her interactions and the unique bond she shares with her followers bring her a sense of joy and connection that she truly values.

On the work front, Shraddha Kapoor started her Bollywood journey with Teen Patti, playing the role of Aparna Khanna, a college student. Despite its debut, the film did not perform well at the box office. However, her big break came with Aashiqui 2, directed by Mohit Suri, where she starred alongside Aditya Roy Kapur. This role marked a turning point in her career, earning her recognition and establishing her as a leading actress in the industry.
