Swifties Urge Taylor to Sue Trump Campaign Over Lara Trump Dancing ‘Cringe’ Video

A chilling video of Lara Trump dancing to a Taylor Swift remix has drawn ridicule from Donald Trump’s campaign and prompted the pop superstar to demand the song be used.

Posted on the official Trump campaign account Thursday, the characteristics of the clip a group of women supporters of the Republican candidate, including the former president’s daughter-in-law, his adviser Lynne Patton and sports reporter Sage Steele. The group, all dressed in hot pink jackets emblazoned with Trump logos, bob their heads and awkwardly gesture to an edited version of Swift’s 2012 hit “22.”

“I don’t know about you, but I am,” the remix begins, featuring Swift’s voice, before cutting to a man telling her, “Voting for Donald Trump, baby.”

Some viewers of the video were less than impressed with the group’s dance moves and fashion choices.

“They’re all so freaked out,” he wrote user @lflorepolitics on X.

“This looks like a really bad girl group video from 1989,” user @MzBehavn73 added.

And pointing to the bold jackets, user @ReedStrong2020 he wrote“This looks like an ad for Pepto Bismol.”

While the clip won criticism for its toe-curling qualities, many viewers also expressed surprise that she used a song by Swift, who is an avowed anti-Trumper. Some went so far as to suggest that Swift should take legal action.

“They’re just asking for a cease and desist,” he wrote @AMS2Dad.

“Sue Sue Sue”, he urged @GreeneyOfficial.

In the wake of the presidential debate in early September, Swift publicly endorsed Trump’s Democratic opponent, Vice President Kamala Harris.

“I voted for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the 2024 presidential election,” he said. he wrote on Instagram then “I am voting for @kamalaharris because she fights for the rights and causes that I believe need a warrior to defend. I think she is a gifted and beautiful leader and I think we can achieve so much more in this country if we are led by calm and not chaos.” .

Days later, Trump would lead to Social Truth to express their dismay at the highly influential pop star. She didn’t mince words and wrote: “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!”
