Blake Lively Reacts to Jason Kelce’s Sisterhood of Traveling Pants Review

Blake Lively he is impressed Jason Kelcethe in-depth analysis of his film, The Brotherhood of Traveling Pants.

“@jason.kelce is a natural investigative reporter sniffing out the hidden truth,” the 37-year-old actress wrote via her Instagram story on Friday, Oct. 18, along with a clip of Jason and his brother. Travis Kelce discussing the 2005 coming-of-age film on a recent episode of his Wondery+ film club podcast “New Heights.”

Lively starred The Brotherhood of Traveling Pants next to Alexis Bledel, Amber Tamblyn i America Ferrera. The film, which is based on the book series of the same name, follows four friends who decide to stay connected by sharing a pair of pants, which magically fit their very different bodies, while spending summer vacation apart.

In addition to applauding Jason’s thoughtful response to the film, Lively also shared a fun tidbit about the author’s book. Ann Brashares he told the actresses on set.

Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively have been spending a lot of time with Travis Kelce lately, and they’ve also been indirectly involved in him and Jason Kelce’s “New Heights” podcast. “Author @annbrashares shared with us when she made the movie that she added the pants after writing the book because she was given the memo to add a ‘magical element,'” she continued. “Please note, that’s when Harry Potter hit, so everyone was looking for magic in young adult books.”

Lively explained that Brashares decided to use the pants as a “tangible item” to emphasize the “sometimes inexplicable magic of the female bond.”

“And here are the travel pants,” he wrote. “Sisterhood of the Traveling Jeggings didn’t quite hit. Now it would be Sisterhood of the Printed Jean Pajama Bottoms. I’m here for everything.”

Tamblyn, 41, also responded to the Kelces’ thoughts via Instagram Story on Friday. “5 out of 5 soccer balls for this review gents,” he wrote. “Good work. You are both honorary members of the Brotherhood. Whoo, Tibby.”

On Thursday’s October 17 episode, Jason, 36, shared that he thought that The Brotherhood of Traveling Pants “it wasn’t a bad movie” overall. However, he was upset that the titular pants didn’t play a bigger role in the film’s plot.

“I didn’t hear them do a damn thing … and then (my wife) Kylie was like, ‘You idiot, it’s a symbol that their friends are always with them,'” he told Travis, 34. “And I was like, ‘Oh, okay. That makes sense.'”

Both Jason and Travis talked about Lively’s performance in the film. The Kansas City Chiefs player joked that he “might have been a little biased” toward his girlfriend’s best friend Taylor Swift. However, the brothers couldn’t help but tease Lively about some of her sports scenes.

“A lot of the movie is just Bridget,” Jason said. “I have to admit, it’s not the best career. Blake, I love you, it doesn’t sound like a star athlete career to me.”

Travis laughed, adding that running while talking shows the actress has “good stamina.”

“Running like that and talking? I’d get gassy and be a lot worse trying to spit out my lines if I was running while talking,” Travis admitted.
