The British actress made the revelation during the New York premiere of her latest TV series The day of the jackal on October 17. Lashana, 38, let fashion do the honors as she showed off her baby bump in an Ottolinger dress.

Keeping things simple and elegant, the sleeveless dress with cutouts on the sides featured a T-shirt and tie print across the chest and leopard print running down the bottom and sides. Lashana kept her jewelry minimal with a simple pair of designer gold hoops and Louboutin shoes.

“I wanted to keep the look really simple, poignant and effective,” she said Vogue in an interview published on October 17. “I feel comfortable and at ease, but also responsible for myself. Some red carpet dresses, while beautiful and stunning, feel like you’re wearing a different part of yourself, whereas here I feel like I’m celebrating the female figure.”
