Samsung Galaxy S25 series design leak points to a big win for Android gamers

Samsung Galaxy S25 series design leak points to a big win for Android gamers

There has been no shortage of leaks and rumors surrounding the Samsung Galaxy S25 series, but the latest takes things into three dimensions. New photos and videos of aluminum dummy models give us the best look yet at the dimensions and design details of the entire Android lineup.

It’s the Ultra’s design that’s sure to cause the biggest stir. For years, Samsung’s sleekest phone has featured iconic sharp corners, giving it a distinct look that stands out from most other flagship phones. With the 2025 model adopting a more curved design, it will certainly be more comfortable to hold, but it also loses some of its signature checkered charm. Still, the S24 Ultra made our list of the best gaming phones on specs alone, so a nicer form factor could help it stand out even more for mobile gamers who spend more time holding their their phones horizontally rather than vertically.

The styling, button and camera placement remain very similar to the S25 and S25+, but both will be slimmer than the previous models. The base model S25 is reportedly just 7.25mm thick, down from 7.6mm. Meanwhile, the S25+ will measure 7.35mm thick, up from 7.7mm. The top-of-the-line S25 Ultra will also be slightly thinner, but it’s still noticeably thicker than its siblings. It will measure 8.25mm thick, compared to the S24 Ultra’s 8.6mm chassis. Of course, the Ultra is still expected to contain an S Pen, and it can only be slimmed down while still keeping enough space to store the stylus.

The news comes after Lithuanian site Mokesciu Skaiciuokle (via Android Headlines) published close-up images and dimensional details of these models. Elsewhere, rumors say we could see a mix of Qualcomm and MediaTek flagship chips in these phones and minimal updates to the camera system. It seems that the Korean giant is relying on its software expertise to make these phones attractive, rather than going all in on hardware changes.
