Planning your next vacation? Google will show you the cheapest flight available; How to use the feature

Google Flights has added a new feature to help travelers find even cheaper flights. The “Cheaper” tab shows the cheapest options that may require more flexibility, such as using a different booking site or returning to a different airport. While these options may have advantages such as longer layovers or self-transfers, they can save you money.

Google Flights is an online tool that simplifies the process of searching and booking flights. It offers a comprehensive search interface that allows users to compare prices, airlines and flight schedules between various airlines. By providing real-time data and customizable filters, Google Flights helps travelers find the best deals and plan their trips efficiently. In addition, the platform often highlights flexible options, such as alternative airports or stopovers, which can lead to significant savings.

How to use Google Flights to get the cheapest options

To use this feature, start by entering your travel details as you normally would in Google Flights. Once the results are loaded, you’ll see the regular “Best” tab that balances cost and convenience. However, you can now tap on the new “Cheaper” tab. This section will list all the options with lower prices, even if they are a little less convenient.

Google clarified: “You may find that some of the options on the Cheaper tab include more… creative itineraries, such as longer layovers, self-transfers, or purchasing different legs of your trip through multiple airlines or booking sites “.

The “Cheaper” tab is available for Google Flights mobile users. After searching for a flight, you’ll see the “best” options, based on price and convenience. On the right, you’ll find the “Cheaper” tab, which focuses solely on price. Several users have already started using the new feature and posting about it on social networks.

In particular, the “Cheaper” tab is currently being rolled out and may not be available to all users worldwide for up to two weeks.
