Rachael Ray reveals show update after video sparks health concerns

Rachael Ray is embarking on a new kind of talk show: her own self-titled podcast I’ll sleep when I’m dead.

The beloved Food Network star, 56, says the new show will feature “raw” discussions about “life’s challenges.” For the series, Ray will sit down with chefs, artists, musicians and other celebrities as they tackle all kinds of topics, including “the highs and lows of hard work.” According to the podcast description, there will be “no topics off limits.”

I’ll sleep when I’m dead (literally!) it’s about life’s journeys and what keeps us going,” he said Rachael vs. Guy: Celebrity Kitchen star said in a statement, adding: “It’s unscripted, raw and real conversation. Working fuels me, connecting with people fuels me and this platform allows for connection and conversation on a more personal level , which really feeds me.”

Ray’s new podcast debuts on October 22, with the star chatting to Jenny Mollen about everything from love and marriage to “how not having a filter has sometimes led to the “hot water”.

Billy Crudup, Bob Harper, Anne Burrell, Harlan Coben, Jacques Pepin, Jeremy Sisto and Billy Porter are also on board for future episodes.

The TV personality’s news comes more than a month after he called out fans’ concerns about “distorted speech” in a video where he recounted an anecdote involving Tony Bennett.

Ray’s speech and appearance in the social media video on September 2 prompted worried reactions from his followers, with some viewers speculating that he may be suffering from health problems.

Notably, Ray had vocal cord surgery in 2008. While he didn’t comment on the Sept. 2 video or fans’ concerns, Ray seemed to ease concerns when he posted some behind-the-scenes footage an upcoming episode of Rachael Ray Meals in Minutes weeks later

His fans expressed relief, congratulating the Emmy winner and celebrating that he was “doing much better.”
