Israeli military says it is investigating possibility Hamas leader Sinwar was killed

JERUSALEM: The Israeli military said on Thursday (Oct 17) it was looking into the possibility that it had killed Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar after an operation in the Gaza Strip it said had targeted three militants

“At this stage, the identity of the terrorists cannot be confirmed,” he said in a statement.

He said there was no indication that the hostages had been present in the building where the three militants were killed.
