Drug paraphernalia seen in Liam Payne’s destroyed hotel room after his fatal fall

Liam Payne’s gutted hotel room in Buenos Aires, Argentina, was full of drug paraphernalia when he died on Wednesday.

According to photos verified by the South American country’s largest newspaper, La Nación, the former One Direction singer’s third-floor room at the CasaSur Palermo hotel had a broken TV, a half-full glass of champagne and paper of aluminum and scattered dust.

On a desk, Payne had an empty package of Dove soap, a lit candle, a soda can burned on top and a piece of aluminum foil.

There were also traces of a white powder that authorities will test to confirm suspicions that it could be cocaine, La Nació reported.

By the way, there was wax and burnt aluminum foil in the bathtub.

Payne died Wednesday after falling from his third-floor hotel room. He was 31 years old.

Buenos Aires police said in a statement that the “Night Changes” singer’s fall resulted in “extremely serious injuries,” including a fractured skull.

Payne was pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel.

Pablo Policicchio, spokesman for the Ministry of Security of the municipality of Buenos Aires, told the Associated Press that the singer-songwriter had “thrown himself from the balcony of his room.”

Before Payne’s death, police officers had been dispatched to the hotel on an emergency call reporting an “aggressive male who may be under the influence of drugs or alcohol,” Policicchio shared.

Payne reportedly broke his laptop and had to be carried back to his room in the time leading up to his passing.

Officers who were at the scene later heard a bang and discovered the ‘X Factor’ alumnus’ body in the hotel courtyard.
