Global K-Pop icon SEVENTEEN and multi-award winning Bleeding Fingers join original track for natural history series

BBC Studios Natural History Unit premieres its global trailer for Asia, the latest natural history series narrated by Sir David Attenborough that explores the wildlife and landscapes of our planet’s largest continent. The stunning two-minute series trailer features original music by K-pop icon SEVENTEEN and award-winning composers Jacob Shea and Laurentia Editha for Bleeding Fingers.

Touring the continent, the trailer reveals some of the extraordinary creatures and wondrous landscapes discovered in the series that showcase the diversity of wildlife in this incredible part of our planet. Audiences will see remarkable behavior in this seven-part series, including urban deer on a journey with workers in Japan and an alien sea bunny slithering across the ocean floor in Indonesia – Asia is a continent like no other.

With the best-selling album worldwide of 2023, SEVENTEEN made history by becoming the first K-pop group to perform on Glastonbury’s iconic Pyramid Stage earlier this year as they continue to take the world by storm

Featuring the vocals of SEVENTEEN’s DK and SEUNGKWAN, this inspiring original track transports the viewer on an emotional journey through Asia with the orchestral waves of the famous Bleeding Fingers accompanying the stunning visuals.

The first extended trailer will be released across multiple channels, including BBC Earth and BBC Studios’ Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube accounts, as well as on air globally. It will also be featured on SEVENTEEN and Bleeding Fingers’ social media accounts.

Asia, a 7×60′ for BBC One and iPlayer, is made by BBC Studios Natural History Unit, co-produced with BBC America, ZDF and France Télévisions. It was commissioned by Jack Bootle, head of commissioning, fact specialist. The executive producer is Roger Webb, the series producer is Matthew Wright and the commissioning editor is Sreya Biswas, head of natural history commissioning. BBC Studios handles global distribution and has facilitated co-production deals with BBC America, ZDF and France Télévisions.
