Holly Willoughby breaks her silence with a message to friend this morning amid the Phil | row Celebrity News | Show and television

Holly Willoughby has reached out to her former This Morning colleagues amid the Phillip Schofield scandal.

The 43-year-old found herself at the center of controversy which erupted last May when her ex Phillip was sacked from the ITV daytime show over an inappropriate relationship with a much younger colleague.

Holly and Phil’s friendship came to an abrupt end when the mother-of-three revealed he had lied to her and ITV executives about the affair, leading to conflict between the two.

Several of Phil’s past partners on This Morning have kept their distance from the seasoned TV presenter, but recently some well-known personalities have offered their support, including Joanna Lumley, who cheered Phil on when his comeback show Cast Away premiered on Channel 5.

While Holly has kept her distance from Phil and refrained from getting involved in the ongoing row over the former pals, she reached out to her former colleagues on This Morning after her sudden exit from the ITV daytime show in October last year.

In an emotional Instagram post, she showed off a photo of husband and wife team John Torode and Lisa Faulkner’s latest cookbook, John and Lisa’s Kitchen.

Holly received an early copy of the new book and proudly displayed it in her kitchen, suggesting she has made amends with her former This Morning co-stars.

Holly Willoughby’s exit from This Morning in October last year left viewers completely devastated amid a whirlwind of controversy surrounding the popular show.

In her heartfelt farewell, Holly expressed her deep gratitude, saying: “To everyone who has worked on the show over the years, thank you so much.

“This is such a hard goodbye, you guys are amazing and I’ll forever be proud of what we’ve done together. Thank you to everyone at ITV for your support. To all the guests who sat on our sofa, thank you.

The beloved presenter did not forget to acknowledge the loyal audience of the show, saying: “Most of all, thanks to the wonderful viewers.

“You’ve been so loyal, so supportive and the best company every day. Richard and Judy said, ‘We’re just going to deal with this show, it’s always going to be about the viewers.’

“It’s been an honor just to be a part of her story and I know that story has many chapters left to finish. Sadly, however, I now feel that I have to make this decision for myself and my family.”

He further explained, “I’m going to miss you all so much.”

Meanwhile, tensions appeared unresolved with former partner Phil, who admitted he had reached out with an apology message following the scandalous revelations, but to no avail; Holly hadn’t answered.

Phil’s confusion was made public during an episode of his Channel 5 series Cast Away, where he attacked “three pieces of shit” at ITV, leading to widespread speculation that Holly was involved in his accusatory narrative.
