TikToker SipWithMimi, who is known for sharing all things wine and wine on her TikTok, recently shared one of the quirkiest wine pairings yet.

In a recent video posted on the video-sharing platform, Mimi, as she’s known on TikTok, shared the perfect wine to pair with a KFC meal.

“You always want to consider the taste of the wine and how the food will bring out the flavor profiles of the wine.”

“In this case, KFC is quite a fatty and oily type of food, so you want to get a wine with very high acidity,” he added.

KFC is also a savory type of food that pairs best with a sweeter type of wine.

“Sweet and salty go together.”

Mimi chose to pair her KFC meal with Lourensford Cap Classique, a demi-sec made in 2019.

The TikToker described the wine as a “very fruity, fresh, high-acid kind of wine,” which paired perfectly with KFC’s salty, greasy food.
