A portion of inside Spooner Lake State Park is closed due to a gas leak

RENO, Nev. (KOLO) – A portion of inside Spooner Lake State Park has been closed due to a gas leak.

Nevada State Parks says the closure will be in effect until further notice.

A contractor’s construction crew working under the Nevada Division of Public Works damaged a high-pressure gas line, causing the leak.

Nevada State Parks is now asking everyone to avoid the area between Marlett Lake and Hobart Reservoir until the leak is fixed.
