Queen Camillason of Tom Parker Bowlesrevealed the sweet nickname their children have for their stepfather, King Charles III.

Parker Bowles, 49, appeared on the Sunday, October 13 episode of Love your weekend with Alan Titchmarshwhere she revealed the affectionate name her two children, daughter Lola, 17, and son Freddy, 14, have for the king. (Parker Bowles shares Lola and Freddy with his wife Sara Buysfrom whom he is separated.)

“Children, of course, don’t know any different. So ‘Uppa’, as they call the King, they’ve grown up with this man they all love and think is wonderful,” shared the cookbook writer, as reported. hi! magazine.

“People ask them and they say, ‘What?’ It’s just Uppa!’” he continued. “So yeah, I mean, I think it’s a healthy perspective, but you have to keep saying, ‘He’s the King.’ Take off your sweatpants!’”.

“She’s a really good grandma, so we go down to her house in Wiltshire and that’s where we can relax,” shared Parker Bowles. She noted that her mother is also a “basic English cook” who rarely uses measurements when cooking recipes at home, adding that she favors her roast chicken recipe.

Last month, Parker Bowles praised his mother for her strength amid her husband’s cancer battle. “(The) doctor says the treatment is going well,” he said Daily Express in September of King’s chemotherapy treatment. “She is tough, my mother.”

News of Charles’ diagnosis was announced earlier this year after he underwent a procedure for an enlarged prostate, although the form of cancer has not been revealed to the public.

“During the King’s recent hospital procedure for benign prostate enlargement, a separate issue of concern was noted,” Buckingham Palace shared in a February statement. “Subsequent diagnostic tests have identified a form of cancer.”

After taking a break from royal duties to focus on his treatment, Charles made his first public appearance since his diagnosis in April at the London Cancer Centre, where he was joined by Camilla. In August, she shared that she was “not too bad” amid her battle with cancer during a visit to Southport, England.

Charles and Camilla will embark on an “autumn tour” of Australia and Samoa from October 18 to 26. After that, the king was due to appear at the next COP29 climate conference in Baku, Azerbaijan, on November 11. However, Buckingham Palace confirmed on Wednesday, October 9, that Charles will no longer be attending, although no further details about his absence were released.
