Bice Group reveals the name and opening date of the new restaurant in Palm Beach

The new restaurant Bice Group plans to open this winter at the Palm Beach Towers condominium will be called “Salut.”

This is the Italian word (pronounced sah-LOO-tay) that people often use when toasting at the table to say “cheers” and “to your health.”

That should give dining enthusiasts a taste of what the Italian-oriented restaurant at Palm Beach Towers will reflect, as in good times and good food, Bice Group CEO Raffaele Ruggeri told the Daily News on Thursday.

More specific details about the new restaurant will be released in the coming weeks, said Ruggeri, who has played a key role in the expansion of his Bice Group dining concepts, which include the recently opened Café Med in West Palm Beach.

Palm Beach Towers’ new Salute restaurant at 44 Cocoanut Row will be Bice Group’s second restaurant on the island. Their popular Bice Ristorante on Via Bice at Worth Avenue has been a mainstay for over 30 years and a sister to numerous Bice locations elsewhere.

Salute will replace Palm Beach Towers’ former 151-seat indoor-outdoor restaurant, Restaurant 44. Until last May, 44 featured, for eight Palm Beach fall-to-spring seasons, contemporary comfort food, in from shrimp scampi in chicken pot pie.

The restaurant change at Palm Beach Towers comes after the condominium decided earlier this year to seek an outside restaurant entity, known for its “success and experience,” to own and operate a restaurant at the property, the general manager said of Towers for decades, John Grosskopf. the Daily News last month.

Salute is expected to release around January 1st.
