Cong leader's car shot: Cops on trail of gun owners

Congress leader Sanjay Talwar’s driver and gunman found the rear window of the car broken on Saturday morning. While checking the car, police found a bullet in the car seat. Talwar said his car was parked in front of the house around 7.30pm on Friday and the window was found broken the next morning. He has also stated that he has not received any threats, nor any suspicion of anyone’s involvement. The police investigation indicates that it is a case of accidental fire.
Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (ADCP) – III Ramandeep Singh Bhullar said, “The bullet hit the window and made a hole in the car seat. The angle of the bullet shows that it was fired from above. Police he examined nearby buildings to see if a bullet could be fired from the same angle from any of them and found that direct fire would not have been possible at that angle. We are working on the theory that someone fired at l ‘air and the bullet hit the car when it was coming down.” He added that the shot could have been fired from one of the farmhouses near the house. Hence, the checking of .315 caliber guns would go beyond the Sarabha Nagar area.
