Kamala Harris’ latest plot to troll Donald Trump: On Fox News

As part of her pitch to GOP voters, Vice Pres Kamala Harris he’s going somewhere he’s never been before: Fox News. The main political driver of the network Bret Baier will conduct the interview scheduled for Oct. 16, the network announced Monday, which will mark the Democratic candidate’s first formal meeting with the news outlet.

Trump has refused to appear on less friendly media and networks as the election nears, speaking mostly to politically aligned anchors such as Maria Bartiromo on Fox News. Just this month, he retired from a CBS News 60 minutes interview that was part of the program’s election special, complaining about the fact-checking that CBS News would do to supplement the interview. CNN also proposed an additional debate date for both candidates. Consistently, Harris agreed to participate and Trump refused. Then, in lieu of debate programming, the network offered to host town hall events with both candidates, which Harris said she would attend.

With Harris’ announcement on Fox News, both the vice president and former president will appear on the network on the same day, in somewhat dueling appearances. Trump was already scheduled to appear on the network Wednesday at a town hall event moderated by Harris Faulkner which will focus on issues affecting women before the elections.
