Ghanaian preacher and man of God, Prophet Opambuor Ebenezer Yiadom has reacted to the news of the escape of two Asante Kotoko players to the United States of America.

The duo, who are of Sudanese nationality, left the team’s hotel in the US without permission and have not been seen since.

Esmat AbdalHamid Mohamed and Obdoelkarem Yoouef Yagoub, who joined the club before the start of the season, were among the few players who were able to secure a visa for the Ca(ital) City Cup match.

In a video shared on social media, Opambour couldn’t contain his laughter as he hilariously reacted to the news, asking if only two players were leaving.

As his co-preachers recounted the incident to him, he burst out laughing, before again asking if only two players got away.

The Porcupine Warriors are expected to return to Ghana this week for their matchday six in the Ghana Premier League against Legon Cities.

Kotoko travels with seven players for the Capital City Cup

Due to struggles to acquire visas for their players for the Capital City Cup in Washington DC, only seven players were able to travel to the United States.

In the end, the Ghanaian giants had to field a select team from the USA to face the DC United U18 team.

before, Yen.com.gh reported that a Ghana select team made up of players from Asante Kotoko and those plying their trades in the United States defeated DC United’s U-18 team at the Africa Cup of Nations in Capital City on Saturday 12 October 2024.

After having trouble getting visas for the number of players needed for the game, Kotoko officially withdrew from the game, but the team traveling to the United States had to merge for the meeting held in the week of Ghana to DC.

In a thrilling match, hosts DC United opened the scoring early in the first half, but the Ghanaian side responded through Asante Kotoko’s Elvis Kyei Baffour before the break.
